Ag in the Classroom
Thank you, Mrs. Sievers, for coming to our classroom and teaching us about chickens. We loved your book and doing the "Chicken Dance". It was fun dressing Nayeli up as a chicken. We learned that chickens are living things and that boy chickens are "roosters", girl chickens are "hens" and baby chickens are "chicks". It is fun having people visit our classroom and share their knowledge with us. Many of the children think living on a farm would be lots of fun!

Kindergarten Students Have Fun with Handwriting!
November 17, 2010
Today we reviewed our Starting Corner letters. For this lesson we needed a spinner with those letters (H, K, L, U, V, W, X, Y and Z), the document camera and a student record sheet. As each letter was "spun" every child had to write it on their graph. If a happy face was spun, they could write any letter they wished. If a star was spun, the student lost their turn. When we played as a class "U" was the winner and "W" had the least amount of spins. It was great fun!
